Fall temps bring lots of things to mind. The Fair coming to town. Cooler weather and getting to wear long sleeves, or snuggling up in a warm blanket on the couch. Pumpkins, scarecrows, and of course a night of ghouls, ghosts, pirates, monsters, and ALL kinds of other visitors of various ages at your door. 👻🎃 And we cannot forget FESTIVALS! Whether it’s a community wide event, a school taking a day to have fun, or a Group getting together for a special cause or just to enjoy time with one another Fall and Events go hand in hand. I LOVE This Time of Year!
Quilted Treasures & MORE has been invited to set up at a Festival in the coming days and I cannot wait! My husband and I have been working on inventory and getting things ready. We enjoy being outdoors and getting to meet new folks, as well as visit with some friends and familiar faces that stop by. From those just getting out of the house for a day to those who are looking to find that Special Gift for a person on their list, we love to see them all! They make the day special. Whether we are talking about items under our tent, football, weather, or about the turn out in general, we so enjoy being out in the community and getting to know our neighbors. So, many times we get so busy in our day to day routines, we forget about those around us. The stay at home times have not made it easy to sit and visit, I know. Some folks are unsure about getting out and being around others. Maybe due to health issues or taking care of someone in a high risk zone. I am not saying you need to throw caution to the wind. What I am saying is that we need each others company. We need to visit and check on each other. Not necessarily pile up in someone’s home without a warning, or invite a 100 people to hang out at your apartment. We all have common sense and can visit safely. We can do things to keep in touch with others and not make anyone feel like we are invading their space or make them uncomfortable. (stepping off the soap box now……)
Fall is truly a time for enjoying the change of colors, gatherings with family, friends, and maybe even strangers, as well as reminding ourselves that we all need to slow down and have a little fun sprinkled into our lives. Because just as the seasons change, so does life. Enjoy the NOW. Take nothing for granted.
